* Chapati chips:
Ingredients:
• Leftover chapatis/rotis
• Olive oil
• Salt as per taste
• Chilli powder
• Oregano
• Chilli flakes
• Chat Masala and( the seasonings you want to add)
Instructions:
• Cut the leftover chapatis into triangular or square pieces or any other shape you want.
• Heat oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat.
• Once the oil is hot, add a few pieces of the chapati to the pan and fry them until they becomes crispy and golden brown.
• Take out the fried chips from the pan and place them on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
• Sprinkle salt, chili powder, chat masala , Oregano,Chilli flakes and some butter and mix well.
• Serve the chapati chips and enjoy your homemade chapati chips!
* Chapati wraps :
Ingredients:
• Leftover chapatis
• Fresh cooked paneer with tight gravy
• Half cup of sliced onions
• Half cup of sliced tomatoes
• Half spoon of coriander powder
• Half spoon of cumin powder
• Half spoon of red chili powder
• Half spoon of garam masala
• Salt as per taste
• 2 spoon of oil
Instructions:
• In a large pan, heat oil over medium heat. Add onions and sauté until they are ready .
• Add cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt to the pan. Mix for 3-4 minutes.
• Add chopped tomatoes and cooked paneer to the pan. Mix well and let it cook for another 2-3 minutes.
• Warm the leftover chapatis on a tawa or microwave.
• Place a few tablespoons of paneer and vegetable mixture in the center of the chapati.
• Make the roll of the chapati tightly to form a wrap.
• Repeat with the remaining chapatis and filling.
• enjoy your delicious chapati wraps.
* Chapati upma:
Ingredients:
• leftover chapatis/rotis, crumbled into small pieces
• 1-2 green chilli, chopped
• 1 onion , chopped
• 1/2 inch piece of ginger, grated
• 1/2 cup of mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, beans, corn)
• 1/4 tsp of mustard seeds
• 1/4 tsp of cumin seeds
• 1/4 tsp of urad dal (split black lentils)
• 1/4 tsp of chana dal (split Bengal gram)
• 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder
• Salt to taste
• 2 tbsp of oil
• Coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions:
• Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat.
• Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, urad dal, and chana dal to the oil. Once the mustard seeds start to pop and the dals turn golden brown, add onions, green chilies, and grated ginger.
• Sauté for 2-3 minutes until the onions turn translucent.
• Add mixed vegetables, turmeric powder, and salt to the pan. Mix well and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the vegetables .
• Add the crumbled chapatis to the pan and mix well.
• Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently, until the chapati pieces are coated with the vegetable mixture and heated through.
• Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
* Chapti pizza:
Ingredients:
• 2-3 leftover chapatis/rotis
• 1/4 cup of pizza sauce (or tomato sauce)
• 1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
• 1/4 cup of sliced bell peppers
• 1/4 cup of sliced onions
• 1/4 cup of sliced mushrooms
• 1/4 tsp of oregano
• 1/4 tsp of red chili flakes
• Salt to taste
Instructions:
• Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
• Place the leftover chapatis on a baking sheet.
• Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the chapatis, leaving a small border around the edges.
• Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the pizza sauce.
• Arrange sliced bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms over the cheese.
• Sprinkle oregano, red chili flakes, and salt over the toppings.
• Bake the chapati pizzas in the oven for 10-12 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
• Remove the pizzas from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes.
• Slice the pizzas into wedges and serve hot.
